Dear Kevin, do you mean Bremen or Bremerhaven? Because you have to drive 1 hour (on german Autobahn) from Bremen to Bremerhaven ( so Bremerhaven is not really the habour of Bremen, it is a separate Town). If you like to stay one Night in Bremen, it is a good idea to book a Hotel directly in the City. So you can walk to see the old City Hall, Schnorr Viertel, Böttcher Straße. The „Bremer Geschichtenhaus“ is perhaps perfekt for
you. At night (and when the wether is fine) it is a good idea to have Dinner in a Restaurants direct by the river Weser in an area named „Schlachte“. If you mean to stay in Bremerhaven, it could be interesting for you to visit the „Auswandererhaus“.

@Flavia Thank you for your response.
I have now booked accommodation in the centre of Bremen and like the look of the old town in the photos you have provided. We look forward to taking up your dinner suggestion by the River Weser.

The next day we will be travelling to Bremerhaven to visit the Auswanderhaus before boarding. We have made preliminary contact and will meet their staff to provide some Fotos and memorabilia that they have requested. They have a great level of information on my Grandfather already and have tracked his emigration to Australia by the Ships List.

When you visit the „Schnorr Viertel“ in Bremen, you can perhaps try to find the Restaurant „Teestübchen im Schnorr“ a tiny little House ( on my Foto left in the middle) with great Tee, Coffee and cakes. I hope the weather is fine in Australia, here in Germany we had really bad weather ( only 10 Hours sun in 2 months here arround, I think you can not imagine) a lot of rain and and Snow. @Flavia We will look out for the tiny house Teestubchen im Schnorr. The weather here in Melbourne has been good, some hot days 39 deg, currently forecast for Sunday 27 deg.We cannot complain at the moment. We hope the weather improves for you in the short term too and that you can see the Sun a bit more! Well done to the German Mens doubles Tennis team winning their game against Australia in the Davis Cup in Brisbane. It was a fabulous match!

Für unsere Reise stehen schon eine Reihe von Landausflügen zur Ansicht (Buchung ab Mai), für Barcelona fehlt leider noch das Meiste, wir wollen vielleicht den Gaudi Ausflug machen mit Kathedrale innen und Führung!

Obwohl wir früh um 9.00 Uhr ankamen, warteten wir eine Stunde in der Schlange in der Sagrada Família und die Warteschlangen wurden in dieser Zeit länger. Es schien, als wenn Sie eine Gruppenbuchung hatten, überbrückten sie die Warteschlangen. Das Cathederal ist fantastisch und es lohnt sich.

Das ist die Gegend in der wir leben, im Nordosten von Nordrhein-Westfalen es heißt Ostwestfahlen Lippe. Dazu gehört zum Beispiel als größte Stadt Bielefeld und Paderborn aber auch Kleinere Städte wie Minden und Detmold. Es ist ein Gegenpol zum stark industriellen Rhein Ruhrgebiet mit seinen Ballungsräumen und Landschaftlich ist es sehr abwechslungsreich.

Dear @Ruffydog, yes I had read it in our newspaper too this morning! We can do it too (sending a message in a bottle). I had done it near Hamburg, and month later I got a letter from a little Boy from Denmark who had found the bottle at the beach while holidays!

Wir haben jetzt mal den Rückflug gebucht. Ich muss schon sagen, günstig ist das nicht. Zuletzt ist der Preis sogar gestiegen, obwohl Niki auch wieder ab Düsseldorf fliegt. Aber egal wir haben jetzt einen bequemen Mittagsflug mit 23 kg Gepäckstück u reserviertem Platz.

Hallo Manuela,
wir fliegen auch nach Hannover und ich bin mir noch nicht schlüssig, welchen Flug ich nehmen soll.
Der Flug um 14:25 mit Tuifly soll ja angeblich schon seit Monaten ausgebucht sein , selbst für die Mitarbeiter unerklärlich. Ich weiss aber nicht, wann die
bei Tui Cruises gebuchten Flüge nach Hannover gehen. Gibt es denn noch Flüge nach Hannover? Wann habt ihr Eure denn gebucht und um welche Zeit fliegt ihr?
Wäre für eine Antwort sehr dankbar, würde dann einmal bei Tui Cruises nachfragen.

Hallo pistolina
wir haben im November den Flug über unser Rb buchen lassen. Da konnte man aber noch keine Flugzeiten einsehen.
Mein Rb sagt mir das wir den Flug um 14:25Uhr haben, das wäre eine schöne Zeit.
Zur Zeit werden keine Flüge mehr nach Hannover angeboten über TC, hatte aber schon mal Glück das später noch mal welche rein kamen.
Immer mal gucken, falls du den Rückflug nicht selber organisieren möchtest.
